I checked out at the Holiday-Inn Midtown at noon and walked to 57 Street / 7 Avenue Subway and took the Subway to Astoria, where I changed to the M 60 bus. The first bus arriving was overcrowded and the driver refused to take the other people. I had plenty of time, so I waited for the next bus, which was nearly empty in contrast to the earlier bus. Traffic seemed to be normal and after a quarter of an hour we arrived at US Airways Terminal.
There is a counter for international departures I was told while queuing at the wrong line. Aha, but if you did not put a sign, nobody will know. So I headed to the other side of the counter, where only the First Class Counter was open. But this was the right counter to check me in for my next three flights to Philadelphia, Munich and Düsseldorf. I thought this was the first class check-in for al flights out of LGA. I asked, if I could take both bags as hand luggage and the friendly agent told me no problem as all flights are not fully booked, but I have to put my shoulder bag into one of the bags before passing security.
Again, security was fast, but I still hate it to put of my shoes and my belt. But no way if you like to pass security without trouble.
This time I had some time to spend at the airport and also at Philadelphia. Therefore I decided to buy a day pass for the use of the US Airways Clubs at LGA and PHL. 40 USD is lot of money (especially if you forget to bring you Priority Pass with you), but for the calmer surroundings of a lounge I would spent it. The Lounge is nothing special, aside of the nice views of the tarmac. I used the Cappuccino Self-Service Machine and read and relaxed.

Boarding was scheduled for 15:00 and so I headed at a few minutes prior to boarding time to the gate 4, but boarding was delayed for another ten minutes.

Hand luggage was collected on the tarmac. I expected a low load, but it happened the plane was fully booked. There was a family with three childs and the flight attendant asked several passenger to change the seats so the family could sit together. Therefore I had so change seat and luckily was now on seat 4A, which is an exit row seat. The flight attendant thanked every passenger who had changed seat personally.

Safety demonstration was done by the flight attendant while we pushed back at 15:40. The captain told us there were four planes ahead and therefore it would need another couple of minutes before we finally were airborne. But this would not be a problem and nevertheless he expected an in-time arrival at Philadelphia.
Wheels were up at 15:50 and I enjoyed the nice views of uptown Manhattan and the Hudson River and the landscape between New York and Philadelphia. No cloud at the sky, so I could a nice impression of the land. There was a beverage service on this flight and I had a coke (got a can) and got two small packages of pretzels. The flight attendant was friendly and it seems she liked her job. With some passengers she chatted a little bit. The flight is only 55 minutes, but she worked fast, but you did not feel you are forced to drink in a hurry.
We approached Philadelphia, I think from the north direction but I am not quite sure as we made several turns before we touched down. Very interesting, nearly in the same altitude was a Delta plane approaching Philadelphia. Touch down was at 16:45 and we were at our gate five minutes later.
