Düsseldorf International I got the chance of a ride to Düsseldorf Airport, although this means I would arrive really early, but as the weather was not the best, I took this opportunity and arrived at Düsseldorf much earlier than I had planed. I asked during check in if I can get on an earlier flight, but this would have meant, that she had to put me off all connecting flights and loosing my assigned seat was nothing I wanted to risk. Like on my previous flight,
the boarding passes came with the M/M sign on it. While the agent was able to get the SEN on the LH flight, she failed for the US flights. She told me to ask at the gate in Frankfurt again. Security was fast and only one person was in front of me, so I passed security quite quickly and this time I caused no acoustic signal. 20 February 2009 I was greeted at the entrance and headed to my seat, stored my belongings in the overhead compartment and took my seat. I had an aisle seat and the window seat was taken, but the middle seat remained empty and my seat neighbour did not mind as I converted it into a business class seat as the announcement “boarding completed” was made. The boarding process were quickly and despite the fact they started it late, we could push back in
time at 08:33 and taxied to our runway for our short scheduled 25 minutes hop to Frankfurt. We were airborne at 08:42, because we had to queue up behind planes bound for Scandinavia and Rumania. As usual, the flight was uneventful and there was no service done in Economy on this short flight to Frankfurt.
