Chicago O'Hare I left the hotel in Chicago and took the red line to Jackson and changed there into the O’Hare bound Blue Line Train. I arrived early and asked if I could be booked on the earlier flight giving me more to time for my connection in Charlotte. Although the weather was quite good and I did not expect any delays but if you have the possibility for an earlier flight, why not use it.
Boarding had just started with the usual announcement for preboarding of first class passengers was well as elite members. 23 February 2009
On board two members of the crew welcomed passengers like LH does. It is funny that you care about such things while being on US airlines which are the norm on Asian airlines and also on the most European. I headed for my seat, stored my belongings and waited for fellow passengers to board the plane. The flight was open according to expertflyer. Many seats remained empty, but the two seats next to me were occupied and nobody of my
fellow seat mates thought about moving to one of the empty rows. Anyway, it was just a short flight and so I could live with it. Would it have been a longer flight, I certainly would have asked one of them to move or moved myself. Especially, since one of them had not the best odour.
I left the plane and was on my way to the US Airways Club.
