Düsseldorf International
I took public transportation to the airport, since this is an easier and less hectic means of transportation, especially during the rush hour in the morning. I had plenty of time, because I woke up early, despite the fact that I already have had not much of sleep in the previous nights. I therefore decided to see if I can come on an earlier flight. Air traffic was still not running that smooth as before the volcano eruption in Iceland and the day before my flight from Düsseldorf to Munich was canceled. Although it looks like every flight was flying today, I thought there might be some misconnections and therefore some delay. Given the fact, that there was not much time, I thought it may never hurt to ask.. So I was on the way to the airport, which took longer than expected since a train was slightly delayed and the skytrain at Düsseldorf Airport not working and buses were used between airport station and airport main terminal.
At the airport I headed for the First Class Check in Counter, which were busy checking in guests but the waiting time was not long and finally it was my turn. As usually APIS date were collected and I chatted a bit with the agent about the last couple of days. She told me, Thursday had not been that busy at all, because many passengers did not show up. Finally I asked, if it was possible to get on an earlier flight and she told me she would see and after a phone call, she rebooked me on the next flight with boarding time in 15 minutes. The flight was not full at all, so even a window seat in the first row wasn't a problem at all.
Security took a couple of minutes with one passenger having liquids and aerosols in her carry on. Sure, this is a stupid regulation, but it is not in affect only since yesterday and why on earth did the passengers not understand and try to argue? So all other passengers had to wait, before she finally gave up and checked her luggage.
My trolley was manually searched due to the camera in my hand luggage and soon later I was on the way to the Senator Lounge for a quick visit. Finally it was time to head down to the gate A 81 where my flight was now ready for boarding as indicated by the green lights at the screen in the lounge.
I used the self boarding machines and was on my way to the Airbus A 320, which should fly me to Munich.

I stored my belongings in the overhead compartment and under the seat in front of me and waited for the remaining passengers to board the flight. I would assume the load of the flight was only 75% in Economy, not sure about Business Class, because I could not see this due to the curtain.
After boarding was completed the captain welcomed us on board and gave us the weather update for Munich. Soon later we were pushed back while the the safety demonstration was done.
We took of in Eastern direction at 09:34 and climbed in the sunny sky above Düsseldorf. I continued reading in the magazine I brought with me from the lounge. In Economy Class was only a beverage service done and I opted for a glass of water.
Flight time passed quickly and 20 minutes before we landed the captain gave us an weather update and information about the remaining flight time and the route we were flying.
Later, the crew collected the items from the beverage service and began to prepare the cabin for the arrival in Munich.
Fasten Seat belt signs were turned on, too.
We landed in Munich and had a short taxi to our gate G 16. I disembarked and since the lounges in G concourse were quite busy, I decided to head upstairs to the H concourse and visit the Senator Lounge there. They were busy as well, but the most flight were leaving around noon and so I hoped that the lounge became less crowded later.
